Six new Fellows to be honoured

The title of Fellow is awarded to honour persons who are distinguished former students, or else have a close association with the University or with the life of Wales. This year's Fellows will be presented during graduation week in July.
The University launches new full-time organic agriculture top-up degree

A new top-up BSc degree in organic agriculture will be available at Aberystwyth from September 2007, targeted at students who have completed an HND or Foundation degree in general or organic agriculture or closely related subject.

Distinguished journalist and writer John Gittings will deliver the 2007 David Davies Memorial Institute of International Studies Annual Lecture at the University on Wednesday 25 April. The lecture, which is open to the public, will take place at the Old Hall, Old College, 6.00 p.m.
Sun in 3D

Scientists at Aber have produced the very first 3D images of the Sun using data from the NASA STEREO (Solar TErrestrial RElations Observatory) mission which was successfully launched in October 2006.

The last of the Paralympic Qualifying rounds for this year's World Para Dressage Championships, which was held at the University's Equine Centre on Saturday 28 April, has been hailed a great success by competitors and the judge.
New University No Smoking policy comes into effect

As a result of new smoke-free legislation which is due to take effect in Wales on Monday 2 April 2007, the University of Wales Aberystwyth has updated its Smoking Policy to meet legislative requirements.
