Integrated Foundation Year Students
Welcome to the 2023/24 academic year. We have created this page to help Integrated Foundation Year students navigate your first week with us at Aberystwyth University
This week is all about orientation and getting a feel for how things work, how to find your way around campus, getting your student accounts set up etc.
There are a number of in-person sessions over the week, and some online activities.
This list only covers the Integrated Foundation Year scheme – for students doing a foundation in:
- Geography/Human Geography/Physical Geography/Environmental Science/Environmental Earth Science
- Sociology
- English and Creative Writing
- Psychology
- Television and Film Studies/Drama and Theatre Studies
- History
- Education
- International Politics (&Military History)
- Law and Criminology.
Students taking foundation schemes in other subjects should look at the Big Welcome pages for those departments (Biology, Computer Science, Business, Physics) where you will have your own induction programme.
In-person sessions will be in lecture theatres or outdoors. They are a great chance to meet staff and your fellow students. Any online sessions are run over MS Teams.
