Dr Wini Davies has been invited to

• speak at the workshop on 'Linguistic Foundations for the Methodology of Research into Standard Varieties' to be held at the Charles University, Prague, Nov. 29 - Dec. 1, 2012

• give a plenary lecture at the annual conference of the Institut fuer Deutsche Sprache, Mannheim in March 2013.
