Welcome to Dr Jukka Kiukas

Today, 1st July, the Department of Mathematics welcomes Dr Jukka Kiukas as a new Lecturer in Statistics. Jukka's research interests are in quantum information theory and quantum probability and statistics, and he
has been working on Daniel Burgarth's EPSRC-funded research project on characterisation of quantum devices here in Aberystwyth over the last year. Previously, he completed his PhD on the Mathematical Foundations of Quantum Mechanics in Turku, Finland, before undertaking postdoctoral positions in Hannover, Munich and Nottingham. Third year students can expect to see him in MA36510 Linear Statistical Models in October.
