Mathematics and Mechanics of Solids and Structures Workshop 2023

As part of the University’s 150^th anniversary celebrations, the department will host the 2023 Workshop on Mathematics and Mechanics of Solids and Structures on 7-9^th June 2023.

The workshop aims to bring together researchers of mathematical and mechanical modelling and numerical simulation of multi-scale phenomena, composite materials and structures, metamaterials and architected materials. It will cover recent advances in mathematical analysis and modern numerical techniques applicable to a wide range of physical, engineering and societal problems.

The workshop is supported by Aberystwyth University and the EU Framework HORIZON2020 programmes, ERC AdG “Beyond hyperelasticity”, MSCA RISE project “Effective Factorisation techniques for matrix-functions” and MSCA ITN EID project “Re-Fracture2”.
