Overview

Social media is now used as the main funnel to direct customers to websites. This course will give you the skills to set up a marketing funnel. Topics will include, learning to write to match your customer’s needs, creating a plan and devising quality hashtags that target your audience and engage new customers. This will be taught through a series of tasks and assignments.

Programme

The social media marketing course has a variety of elements to it. You will learn all about creating a social strategy; understand and be able to create SMART goals; explore marketing funnels; create an audience persona or audience avatar; learn about content creation; build hashtags; and feel more confident with analysing your social media results.

Learning Outcomes

On completion of this module, students should be able to:  

  1. Create a series of hashtags for a campaign.
  2. Outline a marketing campaign.
  3. Analyse an existing campaign (Case study).

Assessments

  1. Create a list of hashtags with an explanation (150 words) (20%)
  2. Create a diagram of a marketing campaign (100 words) (40%)
  3. Analysis of a case study (500 words) (40%)

This course is for everyone. No previous experience is needed and there are no formal entry requirements.

What Do I Need?

You would need the following:

• Internet access
• Access to a laptop or computer with a web camera and microphone; the use of headphones might also be of benefit
• Use of the Chrome web-browser where possible.
