Overview
What is termed as bullying? Why do children and teens bully?
We all worry about our children and how to support them. This short self-paced online course is designed to help gain a better understanding of bullying from a range of perspectives. The short assessment will develop your skills so you can reflect upon a series of case studies and identify suitable strategies to support children. Although aimed at parents, this course is also suitable for carers or anyone wishing to work with children, or to understand more about bullying.
You will be asked to focus on a case study, contribute to the class Discussion Board and demonstrate new found knowledge and reflective learning as a result from the Unit tasks.
Programme
The content will guide you through different aspects of resilience in children. We’ll explore what resilience is and how it can be nurtured. We’ll delve deep into why children bully and how to respond, and we’ll consider the balance between protection and empowerment.
