Overview

This is part of a suite of advanced short courses to guide students towards using social media successfully. This is a self-paced online course that will guide you through the features of Linkedin and how to use it successfully. You will be taken through the process of creating a profile through to analysing the effectiveness of a campaign.

Why use LinkedIn? Who is it for?

Assignments are set as you move through the module which will be trickle feedback assessed. It is expected that students devote 50 hours study towards this module. This complements other modules in the area of social media.

Programme

The LinkedIn course has a variety of elements to it. You will learn all about getting started on LinkedIn; create an audience persona or audience avatar; learn about content strategy; build hashtags; and feel more confident with analysing your LinkedIn results. Please be aware this course will take you approximately 50 hours to complete.

Learning Outcomes

On completion of this module, students should be able to:  

  1. Demonstrate confidence with using LinkedIn.
  2. Create informative text and plan a social media awareness campaign.

Assessments

  1. Write a headline for a profile of your choice (350-500 words max) (50%) Creating Content and exploring LinkedIn features.
  2. Create a post (25%) (200 words max)

This course is for everyone. No previous experience is needed and there are no formal entry requirements.
