Canva is an important part of any businesses’ social media presence and marketing material. Think of Canva as your digital office assistant – here to help make the process of graphics, videos, presentations, posters, leaflets and much more, all that bit easier.
You may want to ask, “why use Canva?” – I’d ask, “Why not use Canva?”! This short 5 credit course will help you get to grips with this fantastic resource, and reach new potential and confidence with graphics and files you are creating for your business – plus, you’ll pick up some tops tips about marketing and branding along the way.
This short 5 credit course requires you to dedicate 50 hours to your learning. We encourage you to tailor your assessments to your business.
Programme
This practical course allows you to learn all about the features of Canva and how to use them effectively in marketing. You’ll explore why we use Canva as a design tool; the core skills and the projects that you can create using this fantastic time-saving tool.

On completion of this module, students should be able to:

Assessments
- Create a piece of work for a fast-food restaurant or for a business of your choice. You’ll need to showcase your abilities to utilise appropriate tools in your design such as image, text, shadows, stock images, different elements. Make sure your work creates an impact and is suitable for your chosen target audience.
- In 300 words, explain who you are targeting and the purpose of your piece of work.

As this is an online course, you would need the following:
