Why use Instagram?

Instagram is racing ahead of Facebook for businesses who are hunting for sales. It appeals to visual people and it is attracting sales. This module will take approximately 50 hours of study with vocational assessments, linked to your own site. You will learn about reels, grids, stories and IGTV shop and has lots of options for businesses.

Learning Outcomes

On completion of this module, students should be able to:  

  1. A greater understanding of how to utilise Instagram to its full potential for your business.
  2. Demonstrate how to create great content for your audience and business goals Assessments.
  3. Analyse data to inform your marketing and content strategy.

Assessments

  1. Write down your goals for the next 12 months (specifically for Instagram), in a Word Document and email to your tutor. No maximum or minimum word limit. (25%)
  2. Create a 2-week content plan for your brand/business. Submit via email as a Word document or Excel Spreadsheet.  (25%)
  3. no more than 600 words, write down a content plan for Reels. Explain why you feel this will work for your audience, and how it will help you reach your goals. You can include as little as 2 Reels ideas or more. Deadline 7th March 2024. (25%)
  4. No more than 600 words, what Insights are important to you, and why? (25%)

This course is for everyone. No previous experience is needed and there are no formal entry requirements.

What Do I Need?

As this is an online course, you would need the following:

• Internet access
• Access to a laptop or computer with a web camera and microphone; the use of headphones might also be of benefit
• Use of the Chrome web-browser where possible.
