Profile

Emzi is a Lifelong Learning Tutor for a number of online courses within the Ecology and Science subject area. She has over a decade of experience in higher and further education, especially in online and distance learning. Emzi has worked in educational outreach for higher education institutions across the UK and as a Lecturer and Programmes Manager for a further education college in Animal Care and Management.

Emzi keeps her environmental and educational training relevant - undertaking the TPAU programme with Aberystwyth University in 2023 and is due to qualify as a Forest School Leader in late 2024. Emzi also has experience in management and leadership, particularly within the animal charities sector and will complete her MBA in early 2025.

Emzi joined Aberystwyth University in 2021. When she’s not teaching she enjoys a good binge-worthy series and spending time in nature on walks with her whippets, birding and young family.
