I taught video journalism at the University of Sheffield for more than 20 years. Communicating the basics of camera work and editing and supporting students as they create their own films. Several of my students have won Royal Television Society awards for their final degree films.

Before I was a teacher I worked in News and Current affairs for the BBC as a camera operator and video editor. Once I left that job I had my own small production company making films for local charities’ and companies’ websites.
