Profile

Veronica Calarco is an Australian artist living in Wales. After working for eight years as a community artist in the ACT, Veronica moved to the Australian outback, to work in an Aboriginal language centre and then manage an Aboriginal Art Centre before. She moved to Wales in 2012. Techniques of printmaking, painting, weaving, working in the land are combined to investigates the narratives around Indigenous Languages and the environment. In 2014, she established Stiwdio Maelor - an artist residency program and print studio in Corris: stiwdiomaelor.com
