PhD - Development of an in situ and ex situ conservation strategy for crop wild relatives in Norway

Profile

I have an academic background in the development of in situ and ex situ conservation strategies for crop wild relative species at national and regional scale.  This has involved the use of GIS to map and predict species distributions and to conduct gap analyses to inform conservation needs.

I currently work as an ecological and engagement consultant for various different conservation organisations and projects.  This work ranges from developing high level strategies (e.g. for trees and woodlands), creating walking routes, training volunteers in specific skills related to tree growing and guiding nature walks, amongst many other things.

I have a strong interest in upland ecology and the restoration of our uplands to improve them for food production and nature.
