Profile
Elena Anna Spagnuolo holds a PhD in Italian Studies from the University of Manchester. She is currently working at Aberystwyth University, teaching Italian for Lifelong Learning and in the Department of Modern Languages.
Her research interests include translation and self-translation, migration, and Italian literature and culture. She is currently working on a research project about Treni della Felicità. The project has been awarded a British Academy Small Research Grant.
Elena Anna Spagnuolo is from Avellino, a small city in the South of Italy. She moved to the UK in 2014, and lived in Manchester for 5 years. After completing her PhD, she moved to Aberystwyth. In her free time, she likes reading, watching movies, going for walks, and listening to music.
