PhD in History 

Claire was awarded her PhD in History from the University of Leeds in 2017. Her research focuses on gender, childhood, and the family in the early modern and modern periods. Claire was awarded a Women’s History Network Early Career Fellowship in 2022-23 for her project on 'Girls in Welsh Workhouses, 1880-1926'.

She currently teaches at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels at the Open University.
