This course will introduce you to the techniques, skills and craft of creative writing. You will be encouraged to experiment with different literary forms of writing including, but not restricted to, fiction, non-fiction, poetry, and drama.
It is suitable for beginners who might be trying to write creatively for the first time and for more experienced writers who are keen to develop new techniques and improve their writing skills further.
This course is delivered in-person at a venue in Wales so you can participate in a community of other students learning about creative writing techniques. Some learning materials will be available via Blackboard, our online learning environment and you will also submit your assignments via this online platform.
Exploring Creative Writing Techniques can be studied as a stand-alone course, but it is also one of three core modules for the Certificate of Higher Education in Creative Writing at Aberystwyth University.
