Seas and Skies in Watercolour

This self- paced module is taught through recorded videos with optional and compulsory tasks. A practical watercolour module that introduces the student to the different techniques of watercolour, paper, paints and approaches with the emphasis on drawing source images from the local surroundings of seascapes and skies. Drawing, painting, evaluative and comparative study skills will be taught in an supportive way and includes a tutorial to establish the students self directed learning. The module will also include the study of contemporary painters and painters in history who choose to represent the subject in different ways.
