Express Yourself: Painting

Students' will experience working from life and be introduced to a broad range of painting and colour theory skills thus helping to build and develop the student’s own individual style.

The content of this module will focus on developing an individual creative response to prescribed projects. The methodology will address working from memory, colour theory, the senses and creating atmosphere. Media will include oil, aqueous media and exploration of combining media. The content will be based around the following themes:
Lifting and manipulating elements of images
Patterning
Creating a personal response to still life, portraiture and the landscape
