Texture and Surface: Ceramics / Plaster

This practical course is designed to give an introduction to the treatment of surface and texture as part of the visual diary and also with three-dimensional clay work. It will encourage experimentation with bas relief, frottage, and develop practical skills to realize ideas and personal responses to the theme of Vessel: Inside, Outside. It will mainly be concerned with practical work but students will be encouraged to investigate historical and contemporary references.
