Overview

This course will equip students with the confidence to use Photoshop to explore and manipulate imagery to produce textile materials.

Programme

The course is taught through 3 face to face teaching sessions which will include demonstrations, handouts and individual assistance and feedback.

This course will equip students with the confidence to use Photoshop to explore and manipulate imagery to produce textile designs. The sessions will include an understanding of digital colour management and the ability to use basic Photoshop and InDesign tools. The course will predominately be computer based however students will be asked to choose a theme of their choice to explore for visual inspiration prior to commencing the course. These drawings will be used as a starting point to produce a collection of textile designs. One chosen design will be sent to a textile printers to create a textile product.  

For the first session please bring a selection of your own artwork images as jpg files which you may wish to use for your textile designs.
