Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE)

If the equipment is suitably small and no longer contains data, please place your WEEE in the collection bin outside of the Information Services workshop or send it to the Information Services Workshop via a mail, clearly stating ‘WEEE Waste’ on the envelope.

 

If your asset had an original value greater than £10 000, a Useful Forms must be completed and returned to the Finance Department before disposal.

• Equipment must be stored securely before disposal.

• Equipment must be decontaminated before disposal if applicable (e.g. laboratory equipment).

WEEE is collected by Campus Services free of charge. For collections of large numbers of items, please contact Campus Services directly on efastaff@aber.ac.uk.

 

The completed form must be attached to each individual item for collection.
