Helo Period!

HeloPeriod is a campaign in partnership between Undeb Aberystwyth & Aberystwyth University, which aims to support our students and staff throughout their periods by providing free period products across our campuses.

The University first provided free period products to its community back in December 2019, and as far as we are aware, we was the first university in Wales to do so.

Why are there free period products in all bathrooms and not just the female bathrooms?

This campaign is inclusive of all genders. The university believes that menstrual products should be available to anyone who requires them regardless of gender identity or financial means.

A list of where the free period products are located can be found above. 

Who will ensure that the period products are adequately replenished and that the additional disposal units are regularly emptied ?

The free period products will be monitored by our Facilities Management team as a part of their normal shift. The disposal units are emptied monthly by one of our partner companies – Natural UK.
