LGBT+ History Month 2024
LGBT+ History Month is for everyone; whether you work in education, a museum, library or art gallery, a business, a service, are a member of a network/social group or an individual.
It is celebrated every February across the UK, and was founded in 2004 by Schools OUT co-chairs, Paul Patrick & Professor Emeritus Sue Sanders. It was first celebrated in February 2005.
LGBT+ History Month is an annual celebration of lesbian, gay, bisexual and trans history, including the history of LGBT+ rights and related civil rights movements. There are events and activities on campus:
- Aberration ‘Double Lives’ - an evening of talks and live performances - 24 February, Arts Centre
- Iris on the Move 2024 - a night of short films from the LGBTQ+ Festival - including a community short film which was made by working with young LGBTQ+ people in Ceredigion – 23 February, Arts Centre
