Spring 2026 - Postgraduate Study Schools

Introductory study schools for new PG distance students starting Spring 2026 will be online (not residential) for the week:

Monday 13th April 2026 to Thursday 16th April 2026 (for new students) or

Monday 23rd March 2026 to Friday 27th March 2026  (for returning Dissertation students)

Monday will run 14:00 to 17:00.

The school will run Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday, from 09:00 to 17:00.  Information, including timetables, will be emailed to students prior to the school.  

Attendance at the introductory school is compulsory.

For this school, sessions will be 'live' online via TEAMs and you will also have access to your first module and to course information via the Department's Blackboard area.

Although the school is online, we recommend students clear their calendar to attend the school. This is because, between live sessions, students have the opportunity to ‘get started’ on their first module and studies with support from staff.

September 2026 - Postgraduate Study Schools

Introductory study schools for new PG distance students starting September 2026 will be residential (not online) in Aberystwyth on the week:

• Monday 7th September 2026 to Thursday 10th September 2026 (for new students) or to Friday 11th September 2026 (for returning Dissertation students)
  

Arrive by 18:00 hours on Monday 7th.

For new students, the school will run Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday, and ends 16:00 hours on Thursday. Information, including timetables, will be emailed to students prior to the school.

For returning 'Dissertation school' students, the school will run Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday, and ends 13:00 hours on Friday. Information, including timetables, will be announced on Blackboard and emailed to those attending.

On campus accommodation and meals will be available.
