Late Registration

All students are required to register with the University.  It is the students responsibility to ensure they register with the University.

All new students should be registered by 5pm 14 days from the course start date on your offer letter, or earlier.

Returning students are encouraged to be registered by 5pm on Wednesday 25 September and by no later than 14 days, after the annual start date of 23 September.

If you are unable to complete registration in the registration window you will have to contact your academic department(s), once the department confirms your late registration request you will then need to complete registration on-line from your Student Record on the web.  You must complete late registration by 4pm Friday 4th October at the latest where assistance is available.  If you did not register by this deadline you must inform the Student Administration Office as you will lose access to email and other Information Services facilities soon after.  NOTE:  The University does not give permission for late registration; students are required to be registered on time to retain continuity of study.

You can contact the Student Administration Office by emailing: dlrstaff@aber.ac.uk as a distance learning student

If you need to reset your password to access the student record visit: https://myaccount.aber.ac.uk/open/validate/

Important to note - If you fail to complete registration by the deadlines given above it has a number of implications:

  • You may not be allowed to register for the forthcoming year.
  • Your access to Information Services facilities - computing and library – will be withdrawn. This is irrespective of whether you have informed the University you intend to register late.  Your access will not be reinstated until you have completed registration.
  • You will not receive payment of your loan or bursary until you have completed registration fully.
