Mrs Foster Watson Memorial Gift
The Mrs Foster Watson Memorial Gift is awarded every five years to a member of staff of Aberystwyth University for published work that combines scholarship with general interest.
The books submitted are considered by a panel of three distinguished assessors, with the award made based on the book’s value as a contribution to knowledge and its interest to the educated reader.
The Mrs Foster Watson Memorial Gift will be next offered by Senate in 2024 for a book published since 01 September 2018, in line with the relevant rules.
To apply for the Memorial Gift, please forward four copies of eligible books to Dr Gethin Rhys, Interim Academic Registrar, Cledwyn. The closing date is 16 October 2024. Electronic copies may be submitted to Academic Registry aqrstaff@aber.ac.uk.
