Many students, particularly Computer Science students, wish to have the option
of connecting to the campus network and the Internet from their rooms.
All of the department's teaching support materials: practical worksheets,
assignments and project work are available on the Net. In addition, a great
deal of the adminstration of the department is conducted via the Net. For example,
students would look for information about assignment schedules and exam results
on the department's Web pages.
