One of the innovative teaching initiatives here in Aberystwyth is a program of two weekend courses designed to improve employability through the development of team-building skills and swinging over muddy ponds. You can read about the aspects of these weekends here and here - I think I'll just stick to my area of expertise - having fun.
This is Scott Group, a bunch of like-minded sociopaths who met during the Aberdovey
weekend, and have since pillaged and burned every pub in the Aberystwyth area.
Please note the shady-looking bugger on the right is nothing to do with us at all
ever in any way, period.
"Enjoyed it from beginning to end...social side was excellent"
"Highly enjoyable"
"The beer tasted like cack"
"(CENSORED)"
"Entertaining, constructive, personally challenging"
"That girl in Aberdovey was a babe"
"MUMMRAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA"
"Action packed, got to know many new friends"
"Aw man, we had to get up at 7.30am- and the girl from Aberdovey was a babe"
Fair play, these weekends are great for meeting people, then wrapping your legs around their head.
This is another group during a teamwork project that involved designing and making a glider out of limited resources and an egg over a very short timespan - none of them worked, but my group had the only glider that landed behind the starting line (but at least the egg didn't break)
If you have any difficulties with the above, or have any suggestions to make on how things can be improved, please do not hesitate to email me.
