Watch the video where Helena Anderson talks about opportunities for Aberystwyth University students to Study, Work and Volunteer Abroad. [Time: 1m 30s]
Hello, my name is Helena Anderson and I am a Global Opportunities officer here at Aberystwyth University.
Have you ever thought about studying, working or volunteering abroad as part of your degree? It's OK if you haven't, but there's lots of good reasons why you should. You'll gain new skills and life experience, it'll look great on your CV, you'll meet new people an make new friends and you will make unforgettable memories.
The best bit is that we have funding available to make it happen. Thanks to new Welsh and UK government grants, as well as a donation from a generous Aberystwyth alumnus, there is funding available for placements from three days to a full academic year in length, to countries all around the world.
Now, which opportunity is right for you depends on what degree you are studying and what year you are currently in, but there is an opportunity available for every Aberystwyth student.
The slide shows options for Short Programmes, Summer Schools, Semester Abroad, Year Abroad and Graduate Placement. There are ticks which indicate the years that these could apply to.
If you would like to know more, you can scan the QR code on your screen now and fill in an expression of interest form and we will send further details relevant to you.
The slide also lists website: www.aber.ac.uk/global and email: global@aber.ac.uk.
If you have any questions, you can also come see us. We have a drop-in every Wednesday and Thursday during term time, 1 to 4pm in the Cledwyn Building. You can also email us at global@aber.ac.uk and you can book an appointment with me online.
I look forward to meeting you and I can't wait to help you find your next adventure.
