So, you’ve just started at Aber and you’re not sure what support is available to you? Well, you’re in the right place! There’s all kinds of help available here at Aber Uni, whether you’re looking for academic advice, help with your finances, are having IT troubles, or just want to talk to someone about your worries.

Money and Advice Service

Getting used to handling your money whilst at university can be a challenge, but don’t worry – help and support is available. Whether you have questions about student finance, budgeting, or your academic options, the University’s Money and Advice Team are here to provide guidance and support. Careers Service

Here at Aber Uni, we have a Careers Service which is available to all students to offer advice and support, and to help you to understand how you can make your university qualification and experiences count towards your future career.

Wellbeing Service

The Wellbeing Service is here to enhance your wellbeing and ensure you get the best out of your time at Aberystwyth University.  It offers a range of resources to help with any wellbeing issue – for example, friendship issues, bereavement, homesickness, loneliness, anxiety or workload stress, and mental health issues – liaising with other local partner services if needed.

Accessibility and Inclusion

Whether you have a long-standing physical or mental health condition, specific learning difference, or are neurodivergent, the Accessibility and Inclusion Team can support you to help you reach your full potential and make the most of your time in Aber without worries.

The Service also supports students who may not have traditional support networks, such as care leavers, estranged students, asylum seekers, and refugees.

Graduate School

For those joining Aber Uni as a postgraduate, the Graduate School is a really useful resource. It offers a range of facilities for postgrads to take advantage of to support them in their studies. For example, it runs the Research Development Programme, which helps equip students with professional and transferable skills to benefit them in their future careers - such as effective research skills, strong communication, IT and career management skills.
