Part 1 Rules
Year 1 Options
PATHWAY A: Students taking two languages at Non-Beginners level and a third at Beginners level choose 80 credits of NON-BEGINNERS language modules and 40 credits of BEGINNERS language modules.
Year 1 Options
PATHWAY B: Students who have studied one language to A level (or equivalent) choose 40 credits of NON-BEGINNERS language modules and 40 credits of BEGINNERS language modules PLUS a further 40 credits of language pathway specific or EL modules, which can include a Beginners Language.
Year 1 Options
PATHWAY C: Students taking two languages at Non-Beginners level choose 80 credits of NON-BEGINNERS language modules. Students take a further 40 credits of language pathway specific or EL modules, which can include a Beginners Language.

PATHWAY D: Students taking two language at Beginners level choose 80 credits of BEGINNERS language modules PLUS a further 40 credits of language pathay specific or EL modules, which should not include any further Beginners Language modules:

PATHWAY E: Students who have studies the languae to A-level (or equivalent_ choose 40 credits of NON-BEGINNERS language modules PLUS another 80 credits of language pathway specific or EL modules.

Year 2 Options
PATHWAY A and B: If taking two Major Languages and one Minor Language, choose 40 credits of INTERMEDIATE modules in each Major Language and 40 credits of Level 2 BEGINNERS (MINOR) language modules. If taking three Major languages choose a further 40 credits of INTERMEDIATE language modules. Students must take 40 credits in each of the three languages.
Year 2 Options
PATHWAY C and D: Choose two 40-credit modules from the language pathway specific modules. Students must continue with the language pathways followed in Level 1. You must also choose an additional 20 credts for each language pathway from the list of language pathway specific or EL modules made available at preregistration.
Year 2 Options
PATHWAY E and F: Choose one 40-credit INTERMEDIATE language module from the language pathway specific modules. Students must continue with the language pathway followed in Level 1. Students must also choose an additional 80 credits from the list of language pathway specific or EL modules made available at preregistration.

Final Year Options
PATHWAY A and B: If taking two Major Languages and one Minor Language, choose 40 credits of ADVANCED modules in each Major Language and 40 credits of Level 3 INTERMEDIATE language modules. If taking three Major languages choose a further 40 credits of ADVANCED language modules. Students must take 40 credits in each of the three languages.
