Your comment: I dislike that a large number of the books from the Physical Sciences library have been removed and I've heard that it might be closed completely soon.

Thank you for your feedback.

No books have been removed from the Physical Science Library. We have removed print back runs of periodicals where we have electronic access. This is inline with our Collection Policy.

There is no truth to the rumour that the library will be closing. We asked the question ‘would students be better served if the collections in PS Library were transferred to the Hugh Owen Library due to the greater accessibility it provides’? Hugh Owen Library is open 24/7 and provides level access for wheelchair users.

We aim to survey the students this term to gain their views on this matter and how the PS Library might be improved. The survey will be co-designed and co-delivered by the library and student and staff representatives from Maths, Physics and Computer Science. Keep an eye out for it as your views are important to us.
