REF:66-2110-8793621 - Windows in the Iris de Freitas room
Your comment: The new iris de fritas room could do with some blinds on the sea view side. The sun can be blinding and it's hard to see you PC when faced away or look at anything when faced towards. Each window having an individual blind would mean different students would be able to put the blind down they need rather than a whole section of the window. this would be really helpful - thanks
Our response:
Thank you for your feedback on glare from the windows in the Iris de Freitas room. The windows in this study room facing west towards the sea have been tinted to reduce glare from the sun. We used to have blinds on these windows but they broke regularly and caused more problems than they solved. The tinted windows have worked much better but I recognise that there will be times especially at this time of the year when the sun can be disruptive. I would advise you to move to another part of the library – either staying in the Iris de Freitas or moving to a study space on Level F or E. Many thanks for your feedback,
