REF:66-2110-9714329 - Access to the study carrels in the library

Your comment: Please consider reverting to keyed access to the individual study carrels in the library. The new booking system is great but upon arrival, I often find someone already inside who has just sat inside without booking. Requiring a key again or changing the door locks to the card style locks on other university doors (and giving access to only the student on the booking somehow) would be great. Thanks!

Thank you for your feedback. If you encounter someone that refuses to leave a room you have booked, please ask a member of staff. You can text the noise alert service on 07966624251 and a member of staff should be able to visit the area. You can also ask a member of staff at the help desks on level F or D in the Library These rooms are a new service for this academic year so we will continue to monitor room usage this term looking for any improvements we can make. We'll also consider your feedback about restricting access to the room however this wouldn't affect anyone that is already inside the room
