Aberystwyth University has welcomed the appointment of its Pro-Chancellor Professor Elan Closs Stephens as Interim Chair of the BBC Board.
Professor Elizabeth Treasure, Vice-Chancellor of Aberystwyth University, said:
“Congratulations to Professor Dame Elan Closs Stephens on her appointment as Interim Chair of the BBC Board. To be invited to take on this role is a great honour for her. Her contribution to civic and public life in Wales and the UK has been immense and we were delighted to recognise that with a Fellowship of our University in 2022. We also take great pride in her longstanding association with Aberystwyth University, as a colleague and Pro-Chancellor, and wish her every success in this interim role.”
