First Fellow honoured

The internationally renowned harpist Catrin Finch was the first Fellow to be presented at this year's graduation ceremonies. Catrin was presented during the second ceremony on Tuesday afternoon by Dr Catrin Hughes, Registrar and Secretary at UWA.
Former Governor of the Cayman Islands honoured

John Wynne Owen is the second Fellow to be honoured during this week's graduation celebrations. A former civil servant with the Diplomatic Service whose appointments included Governor of the Cayman Islands, Mr Owen was presented by Professor Colin McInnes, Head of the Department of International Politics.

Former Coronation Street actor Nigel Pivaro, who played the part of Terry Duckworth on the long-running soap 'on and off' for nearly 20 years, was presented with an MSc Econ in Terrorism and International Relations at this morning's graduation ceremony.

Professor Kevin Holland from the School of Management and Business at the University of Wales, Aberystwyth is to lead a new study into how companies develop and utilise tax knowledge. The work is being funded by the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA).
