Principles of Veterinary Practice & Evidence Based Medicine runs throughout Year 2 and continues the themes covered in this strand in year 1 relating to communication in the veterinary field, professional standards, ethics and evidence-based decisions. This module will also develop practical clinical examination skills in a range of species. Additionally, students will learn more about the range of skills required for veterinary careers in Wales, including introductory Welsh.

Content

Veterinary Surgeons require a range of professional skills to succeed in the wide range of jobs available throughout the field. This module continues students' professional development by providing further training in clinical skills and communication, discussing the ethical challenges in relation to the veterinary field and advancing understanding of how evidence-based veterinary medicine contributes to best-practice veterinary medicine.
