Brief description
This module provides students with an opportunity to deepen their understanding and practice of communication and expression via embodied practices of voice and movement. Principally it offers an approach to a system of reading movement and structured approaches to creating performance through physical work. Alongside physical training and analysis of movement, voice and improvisation will be offered to deepen skills in confidence and finding nuance in performance. The module allows students to engage with approaches to performance beyond the stage or studio as it draws awareness to body architecture, spatial relationships and collaborative working.
