Learning Outcomes
On successful completion of this module students should be able to:
1. Critically understand the different facets of health and well-being
2. Understand and evaluate the main factors that impact upon the health and wellbeing of children
3. Understand and evaluate the role of multiagency working in ensuring the positive health and wellbeing of children
Brief description
This module will consider the factors that influence the health and wellbeing of young children. Key issues relating to healthy diet, physical activity, poverty and healthy relationships will be explored. An emphasis on multi agency working will be made by looking at the importance of working in partnerships with parents, children and agencies.

Weeks 9 and 10 – students will be undertaking placements for a different module. Where students are not on placement, they will be involved in employability workshops and events.
