Brief description

Creative Arts at Work is designed to bridge the gap between education and post-graduation employment, equipping students with the tools and strategies necessary to navigate various career pathways. The focus is on helping students identify and articulate the diverse skills they have developed during their studies—such as communication, creative problem-solving, collaboration, and adaptability—and how these skills apply in professional contexts. Students will explore practical strategies for preparing for employment, developing greater awareness of the steps needed to transition into the workplace. This includes crafting a personal portfolio, planning entry pathways into their chosen fields, and navigating employment opportunities. The module also fosters an understanding of professional etiquette and the preparation required for effective self-presentation. Through workshops, reflective exercises, and career preparation activities, students will gain confidence to seek opportunities whilst also considering broader challenges in the employment market and how their skills translate into the workplace. By the end of the module, students will be empowered to identify their professional goals and equipped with practical strategies to pursue meaningful and fulfilling careers.
