Brief description
We spend about three quarters of our lives communicating but this quantity is no guarantee of quality. For example you may have experienced communications, which resulted in unsatisfactory work conditions, an unhappy marriage or arguments with you children. Indeed, for over 60,000 years men and women have been communicating. Yet we still feel the need, perhaps more than ever, to find ways to improve our communication skills.
In this module you will study the theory behind everyday communications. This includes the study of a simple model of communication, the process we use when we interact with other people, how we work in groups and how we communicate with our clients. Also, in this module you will study skills in communication, such as how to gather and structure information and how to prepare for oral and written presentations.
