You will be able to discriminate between the ways in which the term 'Celtic' is used in a number of disciplines including linguistics, archaeology and history.
You will be able to discuss some aspects of the history and culture of the Celtic-speaking peoples.
Brief description
Analysing the term 'Celt'. Are the Irish and Welsh 'Celts'? and other aspects of Celticity. Characteristics of Celtic sociaties in the early period, such as pagan religions.
