Assessment

Assessment Type Assessment length / details Proportion
Semester Assessment Continuous assessment - You will be graded on the coursework you produce throughout the year, not through a final examination. You will have to submit 4 essays (1,250-1,500 words in length) throughout the course of the year, one essay per national cinema discussed. Three of these essays will count toward a full grade, and one essay will be considered formative *This does not mean that you should submit only three essays; for every essay that you fail to submit, there will be a 15% decline in your final grade i.e. failure to submit 1 essay - 15% deduction in your final grade; failure to submit 2 essays - 30% deduction in your final grade; failure to submit 3 essays - 45% deduction in your final grade  100%
Supplementary Exam 2 Hours   Written examination  100%
