Brief description

This module (which is mostly taught in German) is designed as an introduction to an area of language which has obvious practical application. Students will be expected to familiarise themselves with various aspects of the economic life of the Federal Republic of Germany (e.g. commerce, trade, finance, insurance, export, industry, etc.). The main emphasis will fall on the ability to translate from German into English. The course will provide the student with a broad linguistic basis on which to build any future study of a more commercial nature.
