Learning Outcomes

On successful completion of this module students should be able to:

Evaluate and discuss in detail emerging techniques in animal science with particular reference to disease and veterinary practice

Investigate in detail a specific research topic related to their area of specialism, eg equine science, livestock science, and effectively communicate findings.

Brief description

The scope of this module is intentionally broad so that it can take full advantage of ongoing research of the University and its visitors. The module will have a short series of lectures on emerging techniques in equine and livestock science, with particular reference to animal disease and veterinary practice. These lectures will be delivered by leading research scientists within their field and will draw on scientists working in Aberystwyth University plus visiting specialists. Following this, students will be required to present seminars on a topic relating to the field of emerging techniques in veterinary science within their specific field.

Content
