Mr Ram Karlapudi

Ram joined Aberystwyth University in January 2024 as an Analyst Developer, having previously worked at Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) and Virtusa. During his tenure at TCS, Ram developed robust applications for clients such as ICICI Bank, Citi Bank, and the Bank of Montreal, utilizing technologies like Java, Spring Boot, AWS, and Oracle. His efforts earned him multiple awards, including the Top Contributor Award at TCS and the Virtusa Dream Team Award.

Prior to his current role, Ram gained significant experience in software development, focusing on scalable, efficient, and reliable web-based software applications. At Aberystwyth University, he provides technical and operational support for the Pure Current Research Information System, playing a crucial role in problem-solving and streamlining processes to enhance software and database development. He supports the dev activities of the Research Business and Innovation department and broader institutional innovation.

Ram holds a Master’s degree in Advanced Computer Science from Cardiff Met University, demonstrating his strong academic background and commitment to advancing his skills in the field.

• Technical and operational support for the Pure Current Research Information System
• Undertake data quality monitoring for the CRIS, ensuring metadata entry is subject to strict quality control
• Implement, document and maintain effective quality control standards to ensure relevant CRIS content is accurate, reliable and timely
• Assist with system upgrade/maintenance projects
• Contribute to the day to day administration of the CRIS including liaison with suppliers, troubleshooting, and reporting
