Top in Wales and Top 5 in UK for overall student satisfaction.
95% overall student satisfaction
The Department of International Politics, Aberystwyth University, is delighted to share the news that the results of the 2021 National Student Survey (NSS) give us a departmental score of 95% overall student satisfaction!
That makes us the top department in Wales and in the top five departments in the UK for overall student satisfaction in politics.
We have also achieved some excellent scores in specific areas of our teaching:
- 97% of students agree staff are good at explaining things.
- 93% of students were satisfied with Teaching on the course, 11% above the sector average.
- 96% of students agreed they had been able to contact staff when they needed to, 13% above the sector average.
- 92% of students in the Department agreed that the course had provided opportunities to explore ideas or concepts in depth.
- 100% overall student satisfaction for International Politics & Military History.
- 100% of students on our BA International Politics agreed that staff were good at explaining things.
As a department we would like to express our sincere thanks to our students for their dedication and efforts this year in such uncertain and unusual circumstances and for giving us such positive feedback. It makes all the hard work that goes into preparing and teaching our degree schemes and modules even more worthwhile!
