NUS Green Impact Award
The Green Impact initiative is part of the NUS (National Union of Students) wider sustainability behaviour change programme. It is aimed at staff to green their workplaces through working on different themes such as water, energy, waste and recycling, procurement, travel, health and wellbeing, biodiversity and community, embedding and communication.
The Campus Walks initiative has been promoted and included in the application as well as a Grounds specific section in the application.
Environmental behaviour change initiatives, such as the Green Impact scheme, are a key component of the ‘Carbon Management Strategy’ for the University which can be found here and highlighted in the Estates Strategy 2012-2027.
