This website is an external site that Aberystwyth University’s Virtual Learning Environment (Blackboard) links to. We want as many people as possible to be able to use this website. For example, that means you should be able to:

  • ask the marker to provide an audio or written feedback summary
  • navigate most of the website using speech recognition software
  • listen to most of the website using a screen reader

We’ve also made the website text as simple as possible to understand.

AbilityNet has advice on making your device easier to use if you have a disability.

For more details, see Turnitin's accessibility information.

How accessible this website is

Turnitin is not particularly accessible as it is an image based document viewer. It is largely inaccessible to screen readers Additionally,

  • the use of blue and red overlays is not sufficient for some users
  • the date picker is not accessible using a keyboard so people need to manually type the date
